DESCRIPTION:This SoftPaq creates a ROMPaq firmware diskette tha
can be used to locally restore or upgrade the System ROM in th
Presario/­Evo models listed below with a 68P4w Family ROM. The RO
Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utilit
by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on o
the computer, and viewing File/­System Information.

ENHANCEMENTS
  • -Adds support for Samsung F-di
    memory.
  • - Adds support for Intel D1 steppin
    processors (also in previous Version F.11).


IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHIL
PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!

HOW TO USE
  1. 1. Download the SoftPaq to
    temporary, empty directory on your hard drive. The file downloade
    is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on th
    SoftPaq Number above.
  1. 2. From that drive and directory
    execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instruction
    to create the bootable BIOS update diskette.
  1. 3. With BIOS update diskette inserted
    reboot the system to perform BIOS upgrade.
  1. 4. After the system has been shutdown
    you may delete all temporary files and the SoftPaq file downloade
    in step 1.
